What the mountain is actually like

Mount Olympus is 1,952 m. From January to March there is often real snow above about 1,400 m, and there are four ski lifts. From Limassol it is 55 km and a 55–75 minute climb on the B8, which is a good road but a winding one.

When it closes

During and immediately after heavy snowfall, police close sections of the mountain roads or require snow chains. This can happen at a few hours' notice, and it is not negotiable.

What we will and won't do

We check the road status before we set off, and we will tell you honestly if the run is a bad idea — before you pay, not halfway up. Taking your money and turning back at Trimiklini is not a service.

If it's clear

It is one of the best days out on the island. Snow at the summit, sun on the coast, and both in the same afternoon. €75 fixed each way, or a full day with waiting.
